Webster's bibliographic and event-based timelines are comprehensive in scope, covering virtually all topics, geographic locations and people. They do so from a linguistic point of view, and in the case of this book, the focus is on "Kinfolk," including when used in literature (e.g. all authors that might have Kinfolk in their name). As such, this book represents the largest compilation of timeline events associated with Kinfolk when it is used in proper noun form. Webster's timelines cover bibliographic citations...

Kinfolks the Wilgus Stories
Used - This is our most successful book with over 15,000 copies sold in our editions and also copies appeared under Avon Books under a lease arrangement for a number of years. The recent release of "The Wilgus Stories" on select PDS stations nationally -- a movie adaption of three of the ten stories in the book -- might cause the book to be in renewed demand. There was also a play version done by Susan Sandler (author of Crossing Delancey) and one other dramatic version of the book.

Soon after former slave Chloe Curry began working as a cook in the Mississippi home of Will Campbell, a former slave-owner, she became pregnant with his child. "She stayed with Will Campbell the rest of his life. And he kept her in his home the rest of his life. With this fact in mind, I can only assume a genuine affection of some depth developed between these two people." In this family history, Chloe and Will's great-granddaughter tries to make sense of their relationship in the context...

Cousin Emmy & Her Kinfolks 1939-1947
Performing as the effervescent hillbilly artist Cousin Emmy, the dynamic banjo picker Cynthia May Carver came to prominence in the early 1940s as something of a fixture on country radio. Her showmanship and larger-than-life personality, combined with her versatility on a wide variety of musical instruments, including the fiddle and the musical saw, contributed to her spectacular popularity. Despite her ubiquitous presence on the airwaves, she made relatively few recordings during her early career...

"Ten spare stories, set in Eastern Kentucky, which revolve around the ralationships over two decades of a poor working-class hill family. All the stories stay on the surface of people's lives, but the surface is a telling rich one of everyday speech and gestures....Norman is especially good at writing about the high currents of feeling that perpetually anger and annoy close members of a family." --The New Yorker

March 05, 2000: Kinfolk is a story about a family with members differing in every way. Each member of the Liang family has their separate destiny written in their innate characterists. The reconciling of this fate with the pressures of tradition, the modern world, the past, and family values is something we can all identify with. Kinfolk not only opens our eyes to another culture, but helps us to understand our brothers and sisters, parents and neighbors better as well. Centered on...

Store your stamps out of direct sunlight (and even bright lighting) or heat as the rubber can dry up. With new stamps, experiment first on scrap paper to become familiar with the image. Press the stamp firmly on the ink pad, but don't drag it or rock or wiggle as the result can be blurred or shadowed. To clean your stamps, stamp on scrap paper until the image is gone. Or stamp on a wet paper towel. If the ink builds up on the stamp rubber, gently wipe it with a toothbrush using mild soap and water...
