A stylish wine with good fruit intensity. Pale straw with touches of green in color. Unfolds with flavors of passionfruit, gooseberry and a subtle herbaceousness. The palate is full bodied with rich, ripe fruit balanced with crisp acidity. The wine is mouth filling with good texture and finishes well with crisp acidity and great length.

The Kim Crawford Sav Blanc has never let me down. It's very bright and refreshing, and the scent is delicious. The screw cap can take away the romance of opening a bottle, though. This wine goes well with seafood, salads, fruits, or just with a friendly conversation.

Fontina Val d'Aosta : Fontina is the symbol of agriculture in Italy's tiny, French speaking Aosta Valley region. The cows that produce the milk for Fontina Val d'Aosta graze on high-altitude Alpine pastures dotted with wildflowers and native herbs. Fontina is a great cooking cheese, as it melts evenly without losing any flavor. It is best noted for its value as a savory and fruity table cheese. Its slightly grassy flavor embodies the taste of a true raw milk cheese.

2008 Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough (750ml)
Region : New Zealand The New Zealand wine industry has been booming since the 1970s, when critics first noted the excellent Sauvignon Blanc coming out of the Marlborough region. New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc is now considered some of the world’s best, blending Old and New World styles to create exotically aromatic wines with refreshingly pungent acidity. New Zealand Pinot Noir has gained more recent favor, as have Bordeaux, Rhone and Italian-style blends. The maritime climate begets cool summers and...

We often think of Sauvignon Blanc as a summer wine, light and thirst-quenching. However, there are some that have the heft and weight to work well in the cooler months, and the Ledgewood Creek is one of them. Full-bodied, its fruit aromas lean toward mango and lemon and are rounded out by touches of vanilla and a flinty smokiness. If you normally think Sauvignon Blanc is too sharp or light for you, this is one to try.

720 KIM CRAWFORD SAUVIGNON BLANC
Medium crimson to cranberry appearance with slight unfiltered haze. Raspberry, cherry, Belgian milk chocolate, Madagascar vanilla and hints of nutmeg combine to make a pleasing aroma. Ripe and sweet-tart around the edges, dry on the tongue with youthful mild tannins. Chocolate covered raspberry and cherry flavors finish firmly with a hint of pepper, not to mention a real "kick". This red is on the money and is arguably more effective than a box of Godiva chocolates at 1/3 the price. $12.99

- Sauvignon Blanc 34 As the backbone of the delicious Loire Valley wines like Sancerre and Pouilly Fume, Sauvignon Blanc remains a very popular varietal, but is has not seen expansive new plantings in California like Chardonnay. The reality is that in most California viticultural areas, planting Merlot or Cabernet will return more money to the grower. However, there are still some excellent Sauvignon Blanc plots in the golden state, and we're happy that the great Sauvignon Blanc vineyards in California...
