As far as one-piece portable, iPhone/iPod-compatible speakers go, this unit fits the bill nicely. I use it mostly for spoken word podcasts and the sound is loud and clear. It is adequately shielded to prevent that unbearable feedback noise that you hear when you get a cell phone next to speakers. At this point, I think it's the best compact iPhone-shielded speaker system available. The other options are too bulky for my needs. My biggest complaint is that it doesn't reliably handle the docking...
