Comments: Cut off dead blooms to promote reblooming. May die back in colder climates. Not suited for the Gulf of Mexico and Florida where summers are warm, humid, and rainy. In zones 4 and colder, use warmer microclimate within yard to get reblooming. In clay soil, rhizomes should be slightly exposed. In sandy soil, they can be covered an inch or two.
