The Gateway has a smooth leather front with a full Lycra stretch panel in the back to give a perfect fit for most calf sizes since it stretches to fit comfortably. These wide leg boots will not fall down your leg even if your calf is not a full 17" or 19" and the elastic panel will not stretch further if your leg is smaller. You can also have the seam taken in if you need a smaller calf in this style.

These lovely extra wide leg boots have a 14" high soft leather shaft (measured from the top of the heel) with a decorative buckle trim around the ankle, a 2 1/4" heel and a full side zipper for easy fitting. They have a non-slip flexible manmade sole, tricot lining and an elastic gore which stretches up to another inch and can be further enlarged by a shoemaker if needed.

The David Tate boot line is only manufactured with the W widths all having 17" calf circumferences and the WW widths having 19" calf circumferences. They do not make medium widths in the 17" or 19" calf size.
