The wide angle is great for a low end camera. I paid quite a bit more for this and was quite happy overall. But don't expect night vision high quality. Because of the low profile 100 foot cord (looks like a modular phone cord) I first had this to view the back yard. This worked out fine in daylight but not at all good at night despite having a 13 watt light near the back door. I relocated the camera to my carport which has a 70 watt sodium light and it's works just fine for that small distance...
