I picked these up for use mainly as an alpine climbing pant. I just got back from 7 hours in snow and am mostly happy with them. I'm already sold on Merino wool qualities and the pants performed extremely well. The move very well as the material stretches in any direction needed. You can use the pockets not only for gear but for ventilation. They run fairly true to size though the waist is a little large for me but there are belt loops so it wasn't a worry. The only trouble I had with them...
