The bouquet makes an initial impression that is dominated by bright black cherry fruit; as you return to the glass subtle notes of smoke and forest underbrush emerge to meld into the fruit. On the palate, fruit is again predominant, but underlying flavors of spice, leather and vanillin add complexity.
