My horse came to me with a ferociously severe bit and no explanation for it. I switched him to an egg-but snaffle which worked pretty well, but I have been having trouble getting him on the bit and he tends to hang on it and get really forehand heavy. He is very responsive to it and I can even get him to slow down surprisingly well when he takes off using just half-halts. It has truly made his mouth happy!
