The art of punch needle embroidery is an old form of needle art that has become "new" again. This form of needle art is worked on weaver's cloth, placed in a hoop, with embroidery floss and a needle-like tool. Tiny loops of thread are formed on the backside of your working surface, creating your design. When finished, these pieces are quite small and resemble tiny hooked rugs. This needle art is easy to learn and can be enjoyed by all ages!

Love old quilt patterns? me, too! The third kit in my line of needle punch purse patterns is the Winter Quilt purse design, which features an adaptation of a pattern element from an old Hawaiian quilt. I punched mine (shown here) on dark charcoal/black wool using 3 strands of Burmilana wool blend threads-- you can use whatever favorite needle punch threads and fabric you like. I kept this one simple by just adding a handle of the same wool, and attaching it with gold-tone handle loops.

Natural themes such as flowers, leaves, animals, and geometrics, often permeate the designs. Patterns are silk screened on an 11" fabric square and require a #1 and #2 punchneedle. Additional supplies and suggested threads are listed on the instruction sheet included with the pattern...
