i recently upgraded from a giant cypress to the giant fcr3...this bike is RAD!!! its fast, its light, it shifts rather smoothly,its pretty comfortable, its under a thousand bucks...i have been gradually working my way up to a more road oriented bike...and this was the best next step up from a cypress or hybrid type bike...its perfect for commuting, fitness...i'm sure it would do just fine for a moderate distance ride..might not do so well on any type of off road....here's what i didn't like... i...

Giant FCR 1
I never wanted the FCR1. My girlfriend & I were looking for some urban bikes . She test rode a Giant FCR2 & instantly fell in love. I wanted a BAD BOY DISC. I mean I really, really, really, wanted a a BBD. She suggested I test ride the FCR1 along with the BBD. I did it to placate her, but after two blocks on the FCR1, I knew it was the bike for me! I didn't want the FCR1 because my heart was promised to another (BBD), but the speed and comfortable riding position, won me over! I tried everything...
