everybody loves raymond: complete second season (DVD)
A surprise hit when it first aired in 1996, EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND has found its legs as one of television's most enduring and entertaining sitcoms. Comedian Ray Romano developed the series around his successful standup routines where he lampooned the married life of the everyman. The comedian stars as an altered version of himself, Ray Barone, a Long Island sportswriter who has the wife of his dreams, Debra (Patricia Heaton). Unfortunately, their life of bliss is constantly being interrupted by...

Format: DVD: 5-Disc Set, Everybody Loves Raymond - The Complete Second Season
MOVIE DVD - Though the show was not yet the ratings powerhouse it became in Season 3, Raymond's best elements can be seen crystallizing during the 1997-98 season. By the time the last of this group's 25 episodes plays, weve seen a diamond in the rough become the glittering jewel in the CBS network's crown. Much of the credit has to go to top-billed Ray Romano, who not only co-wrote many of the individual installments but also encouraged the development of the secondary characters. Ray's parents, Marie (Doris Roberts) and Frank (Peter Boyle), really come into their own this year, and his older brother, Robert (Brad Garrett), figures more prominently as well. Season 2 gets off to a good start with "Ray's on TV," which finds the sportswriter bungling his first television appearance after being deluged with "helpful" tips from his family. "Brother" is a tour de force for Romano and Garrett, who reveal that a night on the town isn't quite the shining example of male bonding the brothers hoped for. Ray sees his wif

Format: DVD, Everybody Loves Raymond - The Complete Ninth Season
MOVIE DVD - In the tradition of such past sitcom classics as The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Seinfeld, the producers of the popular, multi-Emmy-winning CBS comedy series Everybody Loves Raymond decided to quit while they were ahead, bringing the series to an end during its ninth season on the air. Thus, with its 209th episode, telecast May 16, 2005, Raymond shuffled off its mortal coil and ascended to syndicated-rerun heaven. In place during the series' valedictory season are its by-now familiar regulars: sportswriter Ray Barone (Ray Romano), his PR-exec wife, Debra (Patricia Heaton), their ever-growing three children, Ray's overbearing parents (and next-door neighbors), Frank (Peter Boyle) and Marie (Doris Roberts), and Ray's neurotic policeman brother, Robert (Brad Garrett), who somewhat incredibly has managed to stay married to his second wife, Amy (Monica Horan), for two whole years. As for the plot developments, things get off to a roaring start when Frank and Marie move out of their home and into a retire
