Sam Bass created this "Ready to Rumble" was painted for the Bristol Motor Speedway to use in the Food City 500 souvenir race program cover. I wanted to portray Dale as having the ease of confidense and certainty about his place on the track. For this painting, I saw him as being ready to go, ready to race anybody at any time, taking on all corners. - Sam Bass
