A buddy of mine from the Navy had this a few years ago and I've always wanted to get one. I am starting to develop arthritis and have wrist and arm pain sometimes. This will be a fun way to exercise and build hand and finger strength. It is not hard to start the unit. Just a couple of practice pulls with the string and once you get it going builds up speed quickly. The arm movement required to get it going is a natural movement of your wrist/hand.
