Elberta Dwarf Peach trees are beautiful little trees that grow only 6-8 feet tall but produce the same size fruit as standard trees. With their beautiful blossoms in the spring and green leaves all summer long, they are ideal for landscaping small areas.

Your tree has been continually pruned back to encourage more branches. This process requires us to grow your tree about a year longer than our competitors, but the difference you'll see is dramatic. The additional limbs produce significantly more fruit and produce it quicker. In fact, we're already seeing fruit on the peach trees out in the nursery!

Extremely vigorous trees requiring regular pruning and thinning. Needs fertile, well drained soils. Tend to bloom early and may be difficult to crop in late frost areas. Plant several varieties for continued supply, as ripe fruit does not store well. Susceptible to peach leaf curl, brown rot, oriental fruit moth and peach twig borer. Harvest 1st year. All are semi-dwarf on Citation rootstock, except Q-1-8 (St. Julian standard). Unpruned, trees on Citation reach 1/2 to 2/3 standard (about 8-14')....

Another dwarf peach variety available is the Elberta. These two peach varieties are both freestone and very similar. The main difference is their ripening dates. Red Haven Dwarf Peach is early while Elberta Dwarf Peach is middle season.
