An extraordinary mixture containing a wide range of vibrant colors; rose-pink, bright yellow, shimmering gold, vibrant orange, fiery red and attractive bicolors. They're great for naturalizing and provide long lasting color in the garden. Use them in a perennial border in front of shrubbery, as an edging along a walk or wall and in your bulb beds, where they hide the ripening foliage of tulips and daffodils. They need dividing only every 10-15 years. Plant 18-24" apart.

This is the cold-hardiest amaryllis and “the finest... for garden culture,” according to Greg Grant in The Southern Heirloom Garden. It’s also the oldest hybrid amaryllis, bred by British watchmaker Arthur Johnson in 1799, and offered by nurseries in Virginia and California by 1853. With graceful red and white flowers, it’s hardy in zones 7-11 – or even 6b, says Tulsa’s Russell Studebaker in full-page praise of it in Horticulture magazine. It’s not quite as easy to bloom in pots as the modern monsters...

All of the daylily species now recognized originally natives of the far east. The plants were valued throughout the Orient for medicine and food as well as beauty and appear often in Oriental art and legends. There was no native species of daylily in North America. The tawny and lemon daylilies were among the first species to be brought to the American continent.

While this daylily is as soft and lovely as our granddaughter for whom it is named, it also displays all the persistence of the youngster as well. Standing up to sun, wind, and rain, and building buds well into the late season, EVA JANINE is not to be mistaken for any other daylily. Pale clear pink, early blossoms display wonderful pleating in the extremely green throat. Four-way branching and 30+ buds by season’s end. Has occasionally rebloomed here. Pod and pollen fertile. Not an unusual form,...

Top quality plants from Bloom's Nursery. They will be shipped bareroot These are red daylilies. Daylilies are adaptable, low maintenance perennials performing best in fertile, moist, well-drained soil. They tolerate heat and drought. They are so easy to take care of and only need cut down in the spring or fall. If you were using them on a bank you probably wouldn't even need to cut them down. Just let the dead leaves lay and rot for some good organic material. The new leaves will grow right up...
