We've liked the Juan Gil wines for some time, and were excited to try a Garnacha from the Gil families newer project, Bodegas Atteca. The vines for this are old, ranging between 80 and 120 years in age. The fruit is super-ripe and delicious, but it's balanced by lots of savory spices and never gets cloying.
