i love coconut oil ...but not this one. oh my! this one smells very strong (which is ok) but tastes off, somehow. we usually put it on/in food, so the taste needs to be palatable. so, i tried using it in my hair instead. a no go due to the unusually strong lingering scent. ultimately, we returned ours. i highly recommend our usual purchase, nutiva brand. even though coconut oil is usually shelf-stable, this now virgin organic coconut oil did not taste fresh, and i'm not sure why.
