As most of you already know Anchor changes up the recipe on the Special Ale every year. I must admit some years are better than others. This year’s however is right on the money for tastes. Light roasty character with just enough spices to make it interesting but not overpower the great “beer” flavor. The cinnamon and nutmeg are not overdone and complement the other flavors well.
