Can be assembled by one person, but ideally needs two people to assemble.Overall, it looks nice, but the design isn't practical. Mattress support comes in two parts with braces that hold it together in the middle - it does not provide enough support for a regular mattress. The round discs that sit below the finials (on each corner)are sharp and cut into the wall, we promptly removed them. Would be fine for an occassional visitor to sleep on. As long as they don't weigh very much!
