Born and raised in southeastern Ohio, Chad Hoefler spent much of his youth chasing insects and spiders and overturning rocks to uncover strange and novel worlds. He also dedicated a sizeable portion of his youth to music. At the age of 6, Chad began taking formal guitar lessons, which was followed by 9 years of classical piano instruction.
