Snowball Self-Blanching Cauliflower seeds
CAULIFLOWER (B. oleracea) Grown as a spring or fall crop. Basic culture about the same as broccoli. White varieties are traditionally blanched, by tying the large outer leaves over the developing head, excluding light. This causes the flower buds to develop white, tender, and mild. Self-blanching varieties usually do not require this treatment. Avoid maturing a crop in intense summer heat. 200 seeds per packet.

Sow seeds ¼" deep in seed starting formula. Keep evenly moist. Seedlings emerge in about 5-8 days at 68-70º F. They will do better if covered lightly with soil. If you want a Fall crop, Cauliflower seeds may be started in May. Avoid having plants mature in hot weather as this will stunt the head development. Do not let seedling...

The backs have information on planting, the seed company name would be printed on when orders were made. Not as collectible has the older packets but would be great for craft or art projects.

Best when started from transplants, cauliflower seeds need to be started early enough to mature before it gets too hot but not so early that it gets injured by the cold. Cauliflower is more sensitive to the cold weather than other cabbage-family crops. Snowball cauliflower seeds can be planted for both spring and fall crops. Transplant 2 weeks before the average last frost in spring and about the same time as cabbage in the fall.
