Calendula Flashback Seeds
The reason we carry 4 colors of alyssum is because it is the perfect plant. All you do is direct seed in good soil and you will be rewarded with a flowering mound of honey scented peach blossums. Butterflys love this low growing, to six inches, plant. If you cut it back by half you will even get a second bloom. For the front of a sunny border, to fill in a container or in a rock garden alyssum is terrific.

T his new calendula is advertised as being pink, but it's really more of a pale apricot color with a pink blush and a darker reverse. The flowers are pinker in cool weather. The double flowers have small, pointed petals, giving them an interesting look.

This mainly yellow flowered cultivar is the most basic type that we use in herbal medicine. Sow the seed directly in the garden in the spring, or grow as a container plant (the British don't call it "pot marigold" for nothing). Space plants 6 inches apart. Flowers to 18 inches tall.
