Tasting Note: This 8 hectare estate is located on some of the best gravelly soils near Ch. Pontet Canet and Grand Puy Lacoste. The grapes are hand-picked, resulting in a dark plum purple wine with a nose of toasty oak, tobacco, and earth aromas. It exhibits a concentrated and powerful finish with well rounded lingering tannins. Enjoy with grilled meats and aged cheeses!

Pauillac is known as the top AOC of Mèdoc, probably because two premier crus are located here. Unfortunately, all Pauillacs command a premium on their price and you probably will not find a decent Pauillac cheaper than Puy La Rose. Puy La Rose is the neighbor of Grand Puy Lacoste and not far from Mouton-Rothschild.
