According to the VDO technical representative, the only way to find out if a gauge will work with your original sender is to measure the ohm range of your present sender to determine whether it will work with any of the VDO gauges offered. If not, you would need a VDO sender for installation in your tank. We can help you determine whether the VDO sender can be used in your stock sender location or would have to be installed in a new location in your tank
