2007 Girard Zinfandel Rose, Napa Valley, 750ml
A lovely rosé color (were you expecting something else?), with bright, crisp acidity. The aroma and palate are filled with fresh fruit notes of strawberry, raspberry and fresh, out of the garden watermelon. A small amount of residual sugar was retained for balance, but this is not a sweet wine, it appears dry on the palate.

Lovely aromas of berries with hints of spice, and a rich, sweet oak give this wine a complex character. A sweet berry pie fruit flavor, a touch of pepper and a mouth-coating richness make this our biggest Zinfandel to date. Vanilla and cherry cream flavors, dried fruit and chocolate covered cherry notes accompany a big, velvety tannin texture and long finish.
