Very large footprint and not really a "desktop" item. Very easy and quick install with the included cd. Excellent "quick start guide" and manual is included. Four high yield ink tanks included. Brother has one of the best support sites I've seen in a long time and you can find most of your answers on it. Best printer I've ever purchased...
