Brazilian Coffee Pods
I was previously using Folger's pods that I'd buy in the stores because they were a bit cheaper. However, they just don't quite fit the Senseo coffeemaker right, so the lid pops open in the middle of the brewing process EVERY time, creating a huge mess. I bought these Senseo pods and have had no such problems...just delicious coffee every time. And cooking.com ships to APO addresses, unlike the other online retailers who sell these pods. Buy them now!

We were intrigued when this coffee flavoring or essence became available. It has a chocolaty coffee aroma and flavor. Whereas the Moka Coffee Essence has an aroma and flavor of a good French style coffee, this one has a much more complex flavor. Use with any chocolate recipe: sorbets, ice creams, ganache and glazes for example. Available in a 2 oz bottle with an eye dropper lid.

Plenty of coffee here -- a percolated sense of energy that really makes this record cook nicely -- a 60s bossa jazz treasure, but one with a lot of lively rhythms! The group's got a core simplicity that really makes the record wonderful -- snapping drums, soulful bass, and punctuated piano -- all topped with some amazing alto sax lines from Jose Ferreira Godinho Filho, a player we've only heard on this sweet little record, but one with a raspy edge to his horn that's really amazing! The whole thing...

Brazil is the largest coffee producer in the world, and offers beans to fit just about every taste. This dark roasted version of our Brazil Santos coffee brings a fuller, richer flavor to this low acid bean. Because of the inherent "softness" of this Brazilian bean, it proves to be our smoothest dark roast coffee.

This book is a now classic social and economic study of the origins, apogee, and decline of coffee in the Parahyba Valley of South Central Brazil. Local society, the free-planters, professionals, tradesmen, and lower class citizens-and the slaves, are viewed through the routine of plantation life. The author shows how abolition, erosion, and bankruptcy transformed virgin forest into a wasteland of eroded hillsides and abandoned towns, of disillusioned planters and poverty-stricken black freedmen.
