Schlock master Uwe Boll strikes again with another hunk of junk video game adaptation in BloodRayne, a flick so steeped in no-budget sword and sorcery land that it might as well be a Deathstalker film. This time out, the famously maligned filmmaker managed to gather up actual actors to make a fool of themselves, with such talent as Sir Ben Kingsley, Michael Madsen, and Billy Zane offering up the most downright asinine performances of their careers (Titanic and A Sound of Thunder excluded!). In the...

Bloodrayne (Unrated)
Synopsis: The film reveals the origins of Bloodrayne in the cinematic prequel to Majesco’s popular videogame. In eighteenth century Romania, Rayne, a young dhampir (half-human, half-vampire), prone to fits of blind blood rage but saddled with a compunction for humans, strives to avenge her mother’s rape and murder by her father, Kagan, King of the Vampires.

June 20, 2007: Uwe Ball hits another home run with this break-neck action thriller. I don't think most people were ready for a plot this deep. When the Terminator starts using her swords to kill the dwarfs and smurfs that invaded her home land...classic. I was a little disappointed when they voted Michael Madsen head of the trenchcoat gang but I guess he made up for it at the end when he rides the Gryffin right into the heart of the Wizard's teepee. If I were a Bloodrayne I would definatley...

Bloodrayne (Unrated/2006)
This action-horror film is set in ancient Romania and stars Kristianna Loken (TERMINATOR 3) as Rayne, a half-human/half-vampire sworn to kill her evil tyrant vampire father (Ben Kingsley). Michael Madsen, Michelle Rodriguez, and Matthew Davis play a trio of vampire hunters who ally themselves with Rayne. Based on a video game, this film earns its R-rating by offering a lot more blood, gore, and nudity--and less CGI effects--than most of its modern vamp contemporaries. With all its swords, chained...
