A loss of bone cartilage & bone spur left me with having to wear a metal plate to prevent movement in the toe joint. It's a very comfortable and handsome boot, and I like the way it fits up the calf. But I question that the boot is all leather because it doesn't pass the usual sniff test, and it does have a plasticky feel and sheen to it, even though it's soft. I do have a high regard for this manufacturer, and so hope they are describing the material correctly.
