The Bialetti Musa Stainless Steel Moka Pot is Italian-made by a company known for their award-winning designs and high quality polished stainless steel products. It is my favorite functional Mokapot because of the thick metal gauge used in the side-walls and the heat-defusing base: this thing is solid. It is Inox 18/10 brushed stainless steel, with thermo-plastic black handles. It has a large footprint which improves heat transfer from the burner and makes this stovetop espresso unit very stable...

Moka Express Stovetop Espresso Maker (6-c.) by Bialetti
I had planned on purchasing an espresso stovetop maker since I saw it being used on Everyday Italian. When I found this one I knew this was the pot for me. I have used it non-stop since it arrived! I live in an area where there are no gourmet coffee shops, much less grocery stores that carry arugala. Argh. So this little pot allows me to enjoy my espresso. Thanks cooking.com and keep the great offers coming.

Bialetti - 12-cup Moka
This is what all Italians have at home to make their morning shot of espresso (called "una Moka") quickly on the stovetop, gas or electric. This isn't a fancy contraption for steaming or frothing milk--it's a down & dirty 'moka-maker'. The 'cup' capacity listed on each model refers to how many demitasse or moka-sized cups one can expect to pour out of the pot at a time. In the case of this model, that would be: twelve demi- or moka-sized cups.

The Moka espresso pots are stove top coffee makers. Each has three parts, a bottom receptacle holding the water, a filter basket which holds the fine ground espresso coffee and a top pot which holds the finished product. The Moka acts like a percolator and forces the water through the coffee and the finished product fills the upper container. Made in Italy

Just fill the lower chamber with water and the filter with ground espresso. Place the pot on the stovetop until the water boils. As it does, the liquid espresso moves to the upper chamber of the pot, ready to be poured into an awaiting espresso cup. After that, all you need to do is enjoy the delicious nectar of coffee. Sante!
