Handmade Bayberry Wax Pillar Candle This bayberry wax candle is hand-poured with primarily bayberry wax. Some other soy and beeswax was added to add durability and form to the candle. The candle is unscented, but has the naturally occurring bayberry scent from the bayberry wax. The candle is smoke-free and emits a lovely steady bright flame. The candle is made with a lead-free, all cotton wick. This candle is 3- ½ inches tall and 2 inches wide.

It requires more than 1.5 quarts of bayberries to make just one 8" taper candle! However, bayberry wax is not ideal in and of itself for candle burning. The flame is small and irregular due to the extreme density of the wax itself, and its high cost is prohibitive. It is a rare thing to find a true bayberry wax candle.
