* An interesting fellow from Ghana really felt strongly that the statement "To our knowledge, it does not make viable seed," should be changed. He sent a link to another website that claimed that the plant makes black seeds in flattened capsules. However I've personally never been able to isolate the seed, and I'm usually pretty good at this kind of thing. Also, in over a decade of growing the plant perennially in the greenhouse and outdoors I've never once seen it self-seed. It propagates itself...
