Exceptional retro design sterling brooch with gold wash has two flowers-one open and the other still a bud. Each flower is set with deep blue marquis sets with crystal rhinestone accepts. It is marked sterling on the back and I believe it's probably 1930s or 40s vintage.

This is typical fine work by Hobe. The leaves and bow are layered. The roses go a step further by having individual petals wrap to form a circle just as real roses do. The semi-triangular plaque with the rectangular bottom marked Hobe, sterling, 1/20 14k, indicates that this brooch is lovely older Hobe dating between 1918 and 1932. 3" long.1 1/2" wide. 1/2" deep.

It takes a master designer to breath life into metal. McClelland Barclay, the fabulous illustrator and jewelry designer, made most of his sterling in 1942-43. He died during WWII. This sterling brooch measures 2 ½ across and is signed in the characteristic Barclay script. Only the d in McClelland shows and Barclay, probably because of size constraints. A gem from yesterday. This is an outstanding sterling silver brooch with light gold wash still intact. Vintage and beautiful dimension. It measures 4-1/4" high with small sapphire blue rhinestones prong set at the end of long stamens.

Rosey gold tone ribbon formed into a bow with small emerald green navettes covering the knot. The bow is tied around the stems of three lilies, each with an emerald green navette stamen. The finish on the inside loops of the bow shows some slight discoloration, but the outside looks great. This large 1940's floral will make a nice addition to your collection.

This is a lovely vintage marked "sterling" floral brooch with two large leaves and five flowers. It has very nice detailing depicting the veining in the leaves and hand applied beading to the center of the flowers. It measures 2 1/8 inches tall and 2 inches wide. It has a locking c-clasp. It is not heavy so even though it is large it will not pull on the fabric when worn. The silver picks up the light beautifully.

The leaves are nicely detailed. A third smaller leaf holds at its center a small prong set clear rhinestone. This beautiful brooch would make a wonderful addition for a collector and it is signed Jolle Sterling on the back at the tip of the flower. Jolle was founded by Lester Hess and Jack Appel.
