This Project Workbook takes students through a Corridor Design project using AutoCAD Civil 3D 2008. Hands-on exercises include configuring objects and object styles used in the Civil 3D design process. Students use tools to model existing ground surfaces, layout alignments, create profiles and profile views, sub-assemblies and assemblies, and cross section views. Additional exercises include calculating volumes, a tour of pipes layout, and sharing Civil 3D project data.

This Project Workbook takes students through a Commercial Site Grading project using AutoCAD Civil 3D 2008. Students use feature lines and grading tools to create a commercial site containing a parking lot, building pad, pond and a simple sewage lagoon system with an outfall structure and piping. An existing road has been included in the survey and a survey team collected the existing conditions.
