We have an office in an old chocolate factory. The floors are wood and the ceiling is wood in some spots, poured concrete slab in others. Our conference room, unfortunately, is next to the train, which gets a lot of reverb. A sound insulation consultant recommended ceiling tiles, carpet, and to cover the window facing the train w/plexi to reduce the noise. We haven't done the plexi yet, but we've used a combination of FLOR tile carpets and these foam tiles and there's a very noticeable difference...
