2006 Girard Cabernet Sauvignon, Atlas Peak, Napa Valley, 750ml

Our 2006 vintage is 100% single-vineyard Atlas Peak Cabernet Sauvignon and a mere 192 cases were produced. On the nose you’ll discover blackberry, currant, cocoa, anise, sage and mint; the full-bodied palate is rife with youthful tannins that fall into line with the fruit and acidity after considerable decanting. Definitely a wine for the cellar, but if you can’t wait, please allow several hours of decanting time.

Dominari Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Atlas Peak 2002

Notes on the Dominari Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Atlas Peak 2002 : NVWE NOTES: Ripe and richly-oaky to the nose, where blackberry and black currant join vanilla, toffee and hints of clove and hunter’s broth in a complex milange. On the palate the same ripe fruit mix produces a plush mouth-coating wine that submerges any impressions of tannic roughness. The finish picks up some brightness and seems just a bit leaner, raising the wine’s food “comfort” level. Built for big roasts, steaks and stews...

Atlas Peak Winery Cabernet Sauvignon 2004
Atlas Peak Winery Cabernet Sauvignon 2004

The fruit for this wine was sourced from vineyards on Atlas Peak, Mt. Veeder, Howell Mountain and Spring Mountain District. Grapes were harvested by hand between September 24th and October 21st, 2004. The 2004 vintage was slow to start, as it usually is in the higher elevation appellations. Bud break came to the mountain vineyards about a month later than those on the Valley floor. By Memorial Day weekend the weather warmed up, cane growth was progressing and the vine foliage turned a rich, dark...

Atlas Peak Mount Veeder Cabernet 2004

This 2004 Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon is driven by its firm acidity due to the coolness of the elevation. This wine exhibits good structure, shows rich purple color and has briary, brambly flavors of wild blackberries, as well as hints of spice, pepper and herbs like lavender, anise and sage. This 2004 Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon matches wonderfully with a coffee and pepper rubbed rib roast served with au gratin potatoes.

Cameron Hughes Lot 120 Atlas Peak Cabernet Sauvignon 2006

Black/Dark red color. Ethereally structured, almost concave nose that draws you down into the glass (I find this type of nose often on high-altitude, highly structured reds). Dusty mocha, vibrant cassis, and ripe blackberry on the nose with a chewy midpalate of rich blackberry/blueberry fruit, plush mouthfeel and bold tannins in a finish of dark chocolate and cassis. Fantastic!

Lot 133 2008 Atlas Peak, Napa Valley Chardonnay

Cameron Confidential: From the folks that brought us lot 116 Napa Valley Cabernet comes Lot 133. From a restaurant/high-end retail-only wine program producing $45 dollar retail bottles, this little tyke had us waiting to release largely due to the fact that it’s punched early with cold fermentation and ageing in 70% new French and American oak requiring a period of time for which to self-integrate. As the time has come and the oak has settled, this beautiful Chard absolutely displays $45 acidity...

Atlas Peak 2003 Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon

The wines from Spring Mountain often display more moderate (but still substantial) fruit definition, and a suppler mouth feel than the same grapes from other Napa Valley mountain appellations. This 2003 Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon shows deep red purple color, lots of soft tannins, wrapped in intensely rich red stone fruit.

Atlas Peak Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2003

Cabernets can be mellow and mild, hearty and rich. It has a deep red color, with the primary taste being black currant. Other overtones can include blackberry and mint. Traditionally aged in oak, the wine also takes on an oaky, vanilla flavor. Higher quality cabs age extremely well (although a bit slowly), developing a sprinkling of five or six tastes within it.

1994 Elan Atlas Peak Cabernet Sauvignon - SKU 300607

- America's most famous wine region, which encompasses a varied geographical territory running about 20 miles long from the San Francisco Bay northward to the foot of Mount St. Helena. Napa's great diversity, both in terms of climate and terroir, has led to the creation of a number of smaller AVAs like Stags Leap District, Rutherford, Howell Mountain, Oakville and Mount Veeder, among others. Cabernet and chardonnay still reign supreme, but just about everything under the sun is grown in Napa Valley...
