I've seen 'engine turned silver band' on quite a few pipes and still don't know what it means. Sometimes bands have a pattern etchesd or cut on them, so that might be engine turned, but I get confused especially when I see the title on a diamond shanked piece that is smooth [shrugs]. Regardless, engine or no engine, the silver on this bulldog is really nice. Just take a look at the sandblast! Craggy, deep, classic Ashton.
