Argiano Brunello di Montalcino 2004
|

|
Argiano's medium-bodied 2003 Brunello di Montalcino offers outstanding clarity and definition in its dark cherries, tobacco, earthiness and underbrush. The tannins of the vintage are there, but the wine is beautifully balanced and is just plain delicious. The Brunello spent a year in used French oak barrels followed by a year in cask.

Camigliano Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2003
Great structure with intense ruby red color and garnet reflections. It offers the palate an elegant, dry and velvety taste. This is a wine that gives good results from the time of release, although it is capable of improving over many years in a bottle as the aromas develop and the tannins soften. Perfect for game, roasted meats and mature cheeses

Sergio Manetti was thoroughly exasperated by the hype surrounding Super Tuscan blends. Yet he was equally displeased with the DOC requirements that forbade aging in French barriques and continually added “vitigni migliorativi,” or complementary grapes (e.g Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, etc.) in an attempt to produce...

Ruffino Greppone Mazzi Brunello di Montalcino 2003 ]
Tasting profile: The Brunello di Montalcino Greppone Mazzi displays an excellent ageing potential. It is full bodied, lush and enveloping on the palate, with chewy tannins and a tight, vibrating texture, full of spicy fruit. The aftertaste is long lingering with notes of tar, rosemary and cherry pie.

2001 Argiano Brunello di Montalcino (750ml - Full Bottle)
Region : Italy As the world’s top wine-exporter, Italy is an important wine region both because of the amount and quality of wines produced. Just two grapes—Nebbiolo and Sangiovese—are used to make some of the finest Italian wines, including Barolo, Brunello de Montalcino and Chianti. Still, Italy is home to dozens of wine grape varieties, with important wines being made from Corvina, Barbera, Cortese, Moscato and traditionally French varietals. The major wine regions include Piedmont, Tuscany, Emilia...

Brunello di Montalcino, Uccelliera, 2003
The 2003 Brunello di Montalcino is very representative of the house style in its intense expression of ripe dark fruit, menthol, leather, chocolate and spices. It offers superb richness and depth, with notable complexity for a wine of its size. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2016.

The 2004 Brunello di Montalcino is the first Brunello oenologist Hans Vinding-Diers made from start to finish at Argiano, and it represents a significant stylistic shift in direction. Among the changes Vinding-Diers instituted are lower temperatures in fermentation, which have given his wines gorgeous, detailed aromatics as well as notable textural elegance. The medium-bodied 2004 Brunello di Montalcino possesses perfumed layers of sweet ripe fruit that flow gracefully onto the palate, where sweet...

Brunello di Montalcino was Italy's first wine to be accorded D.O.C.G. status, a testament to its aristocracy, balance and fabulous proclivity for aging. Under the direction of Banfi's master winemakers, their Sangiovese grapes are transformed into a remarkable world-class wine, perhaps the most respected red of Italy. Aged for a total of up to four years, including a minimum of two years in oak barrels, Castello Banfi Brunello di Montalcino is a wine of robust character. It possesses a rich garnet...
