This antique watch and chain is gold filled and in beautiful condition. The Elgin pocket watch is in a hunter case with the case cover heavily decorated in 14 karat rose, green and yellow gold. The gold filled chain is 48 inches long and 5mm wide, the gold filled slide measures 3/4X1 1/4 inches. The watch measures 1 1/2X2 inches and weighs 78.6 grams. On the inside cover it is marked "25 year Guaranteed" that is a gold filled mark.

The spinner is in very good condition, however the woven chain is not. It is so beautiful, it does not bother me. A good jeweler might be able to repair or shorten the chain and that is left to the new luck owner. The price has been adjusted accordingly. Being all solid gold it is heavy, a prized possession to a wealthy gentleman. Circa 1870s.

Here is a handsome antique rolled gold pocket watch chain complete with ornately detailed amethyst glass fob. This piece is in excellent condition and measures 11" in length, (including clasp) on the chain side and 1 1/2" on the fob side. The clasp is marked "H.F.B" on the inside and is etched with 2 clover type symbols on the outside. This lovely piece was made by H. F. Barrows & Co. which began business in 1853 in Attleborough, Massachusetts and was known for their quality rolled gold items.
