The bird is made only of natural turquoise mosaic inlaid (instead of overlaid) into a shallow carving in the tear-drop shaped pendant. The tabs have the same blue to green turquoise overlaid mosaic terminated by a black band of jet, leaving the end 2/5ths of the triangle white.
