All sizes are available with either spring nut or solid nut. The Starrett quick-adjusting automatic-closing spring nut is designed for making fast, positive adjustments. The threads of the nut firmly engage the screw at the slightest pressure from the leg. When the pressure is withdrawn, the nut automatically releases itself, sliding freely over the screw. This feature saves time in opening and closing.

This Spring Divider features hardened and finely ground points. Made from forged steel, the square legs make for a very sturdy and heavy-duty design. The Divider also features a substantial spring and smooth running nut that are guaranteed to hold any setting. This tool is substantial enough to hold up to the most demanding tasks. Maximum opening is 8". Made in Germany.

Offering this nice clean 9.7" long overall wing divider marked "GOODELL-PRATT CO. GREENFIELD MASS. U.S.A." on the side of one leg. This one is in very good used condition, no rust, good thumbscrews, threads, and spring, and has good sharp points, ready to use. Features the fine adjustment. A top quality layout tool in great shape!

This a nice clean wing divider 8" long overall. It's in good condition with a good snug brass and steel pivot joint, and good original hardware including the fine adjustment nut. It's marked "Sargent & Co.". There is no rust, very minor pitting and darkened color to the steel surface, strong spring, good sharp points. A very nice layout tool!
