As for the 2006 Syrah Eddies Patch, this looks like a whopper in the making. Huge notes of Asian spices, blackberry, camphor, and smoked meats all regale the olfactory senses. Sumptuous, full-bodied, with low acidity and great fruit, this is a fabulously rich and possibly compelling Syrah to drink over the next 7-8 years. Intense and concentrated, almost syrupy. The core wild berry, blackberry, boysenberry, mint and beef scents give it plenty of flavor complexity, and it's focused, with a long, persistent aftertaste.
