I bought the 150 gallon model, it reminds me greatly of the older Visitherm heaters. Very easy to set thermostat, turns easy and can see the temp easy on the side. Yes it does have the thin glass, so must not come out of the water when on. The suction cups seem to be quality also, they are black. Only had the heater a week, but seems this was a great buy, why spend more?....Have always been happy with aqua cave.
