The 2009 model of the AF Elite fencing shoes are a great looking basic fencing shoe. The wrap over toe are protects against wear on the back foot from aggressive lunging. If you have a powerful lunge, we do recommend that you purchase a hard heel cup to provide extra cushioning for your heel.
