The quartz bulb should be changed once a year. Remove cap of the UV sterilizer and gently remove the bulb from it's glass sleeve. Detach the 4 pin connector from the plug and replace the bulb with the new replacement bulb. Gently place the bulb back into the glass sleeve and reattach the cap.
